Voice Tracking Instructions

Preamble

Easily create Voice recordings using built in recording device within the observer interface. No external applications or programs required.

Voice Tracking tool will prompt browser to give access to local microphone.

Support for Basic Play List type.

Recording can be captured and embedded directly into PL or saved as a regular media available in sidebar.

Once recorded in sidebar, user can change Genres\Category i.e. VT recording saved as a Station ID with metadata.

Works best with the default Tanzanite theme and Chrome browser.

Accessing VT Tool in Play List

From within any basic playlist, Click VT Icon button at bottom menu.

Selecting Device

First using the drop down menu, select available recording device. Select onboard device or plug in a USB mic or recorder and use that device.

Default recording device can also be set in users profile >Account Settings

Recording

Once mic is selected, click the Record button and begin speaking. Click again to Pause. If you click record again it will prompt to over write.

Editing Recording

Set trim points, using mouse or use keyboard. Click Play Icon to preview.

Saving Edits

Click Save Edit Icon. This saves the edited recording to media sidebard as a copy leaving original embedded in PL.

Saving Recording into PL

Click SAVE button to return to PL. To review and edit levels, click on VT Media in PL, expand Advanced menu adjust levels and save.

Once VT is saved in PL it can be updated with new recording by double clicking

Make sure to SAVE playlist otherwise your VT embedded recordings will be lost

Saving Recording into Media Sidebar

When Saving any VT recordings, automatically creates a copy in Media Sidebar available as regular media item.

Accessing VT Tool in Alerts

From Main Menu >Schedules>Alerts

Select which station or schedule the alert should play

Create New Alert

First using the drop down menu, select available recording device. It might show up as an onboard device or you can plug in a USB recorder and use that device’s microphone

Set trim points, using mouse or use keyboard to adjust advance levels. Click Play Icon to preview.

Give the Alert a friendly display name

Set how many seconds for how often to play

Start and Stop Times and Dates

Save Edits

Click Save Edit Audio Icon

Modes

Interrupt

Pauses present media and plays Alert resuming where it left off in timeline

Voice Track

Plays over top of present media allows setting Background Audio Track Volume levels and Fade in Fade out values
